Objectives
By the end of this course, leaner will be able to:
- Gain a deep understanding of Scrum principles and philosophies.
- Develop practical knowledge of the Product Owner’s role, responsibilities, and perspectives.
- Equip participants to manage common issues and roadblocks as a Product Owner.
- Prepare participants to pass the SPOC® exam with confidence.
- Learn how to effectively engage with business stakeholders in a Scrum environment.
Prerequisites
- No formal prerequisite, but having SDC® or SMC® certification is beneficial.
- Highly recommended to attend a 2-day SPOC® classroom training provided by a SCRUMstudy™ approved Authorized Training Partner (A.T.P.).
Course Outline
- Understand Agile principles, the Agile Manifesto, and the Scrum framework.
- Explore core and non-core roles including the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Scrum Team.
- Dive into sprint planning, sprint backlog, task estimation, and the planning game.
- Understand daily stand-up meetings, sprint review, retrospective sprint meetings, and product backlog refining
- Explore Scrum implementation for large projects, distributed teams, and transitioning to Scrum.
