Overview
The Red Hat OpenShift Administration I: Operating a Production Cluster (DO180) course is designed for OpenShift cluster administrators to master the skills needed to manage Kubernetes workloads. Focused on deploying, managing, and troubleshooting containerized applications, this course emphasizes ensuring the availability and reliability of application workloads across OpenShift clusters. It covers managing end-user applications, deploying dependencies, and configuring high availability.
Objectives
By the end of this course, leaner will be able to:
- Manage OpenShift clusters using both command-line and web console interfaces.
- Deploy and update applications from container images, templates, and Kubernetes manifests.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues within and outside of an OpenShift cluster.
- Connect Kubernetes workloads to storage solutions for persistent application data.
- Configure and maintain high availability and reliability for Kubernetes workloads.
Prerequisites
- Completion of Containers, Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift Technical Overview (DO080) or equivalent knowledge of Linux containers.
- Proficiency in using a command-line interface, preferably Bash, demonstrated by Getting Started with Linux Fundamentals (RH104) or similar experience.
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes and OpenShift concepts.
- Experience with managing cloud-based infrastructure and containerized applications.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting and storage management in a cloud environment.
